Why Blogging Works So Well
Monday, January 21st, 2008I’m often asked “Why should I Blog?” People who ask this question aren’t looking forĀ an excuse not to blog, they just aren’t quite sure what’s in it for them. And in the end that’s what we all want to know. We don’t do anything in life until we find out what’s in it for us.
This short phrase is often abbreviated as “WIIFM”, pronounced wifem. This means What’s In It For Me? And now I will show you why you should start blogging ASAP! Ok, enough with the acronyms.
Blogging is nothing more than an online journal. It’s an account of the daily activities or your company is doing. And that’s what makes a blog better than a static (regular) site. Blogs are alive. They are updated frequently with current news and events.
Old sites just sit there…with nothing new happening. Many people call these web pages “Brochure Sites”. Instead of your visitor feeling like they are interacting with you, they feel nothing. This is because they can’t communicate openly, and the information on your site becomes dated pretty fast, especially in this day and age.
When you blog, you also get to be yourself. You don’t have to sound salesly, or corporatey. Are those even words? Anyway, people love blogs and so will you. It takes away 99% of the technical side of having an online business as well.
A lot of people ask me how I was able to go from flat broke to 7 figure business partner in a little less than a year. My answer is that I leveraged my blog and my ability. And there’s no reason you can’t do the same thing. I know that sounds a little crazy, but it’s not.
